After spending some time at the SAS lounge, we were ready to catch our flight over to Stavanger on the west coast of Norway. Our lovely EMB190 was waiting for us at the gate.

The cabin was your standard 2-2 layout.

The back of the seat was pretty bare bones but given that this aircraft is used on domestic and regional routes at best, that really wasn’t an issue.

The legroom was honestly pretty solid. For reference, I’m 5′ 10″ and I had plenty of stretch space. I certainly wasn’t going to complain.

You also had individual air vents at every seat, which was great.

Eventually we pushed back and made our way to the departure runway which here was 01L.

Our takeoff was quick and man I certainly couldn’t get enough of the Nordic countryside on this fine summer day.

The views were pretty much the highlight of the flight. I’ll comment more shortly but here’s the in flight buy-on-board menu for the flight.

Nothing was free. No juice, not even water which was strange. I’m not sure how you can deny someone free water on a flight and SAS isn’t even a low cost carrier though it might as well be with how this turned out.
Eventually we began our descent into what would be a beautiful part of the country below these clouds.

Man those views were awesome I hope you get a chance to check out the youtube video because it was absolutely sick!!
As soon as we pulled into our gate, a cell rolled in and it started raining. I’m glad we got to enjoy the views

Overall, the takeaway from this is that, for domestic and short SAS flights, don’t expect much. And by much I mean anything at all. That’s not a bad thing, this was a 45 minute flight and I wasn’t expecting all that much, but I think water, tea, and juices should be the minimum. But to each their own. At least the views were super enjoyable.
