Lufthansa has a couple of different senator lounges at Frankfurt, and this one in particular was the senator lounge at the B concourse on the 2nd floor.

You’ll see Lufthansa’s classic font and branding waiting to welcome you in. Now let’s talk about the access requirements to enter this lounge:
- Lufthansa Miles & More Senator and HON Circle Members
- Star Alliance Gold Guests
- Lufthansa First Class Passengers
- Star Alliance First Class Passengers
As you can see, the access requirements are on the stricter side and a business class ticket or lounge pass of sorts alone won’t get you in here.

Once I entered the lounge, there was an escalator that took you one level up and here’s another entrance that is far too familiar at Lufthansa.

There’s really not too much difference between Lufthansa’s business and Senator lounges, the main ones being the access requirements and the slightly upgraded food and beverage options in the Senator side.
First thing when you enter through the set of double doors is a help desk. Lufthansa’s agents have always been super knowledgeable in my experience and I’m sure they handle Star Alliance partner flights as well.

There was a rather large section of table-like seating. I’m not sure if this is for show and tell but I can’t imagine this ever filling up completely, but then again I was also here very early in the morning.

There was also some booth style seating, but not much so keep that in mind in case you’d like these seats.

As with many different lounges, newspapers and magazines were available for perusal.

There was also a sectioned off section which was optimal for work

The power ports were universal and covered a large number of ports you’d see for passengers traveling to different parts of the world.

There were some high tables with fruits and water. For me personally, these kinds of seats are always uncomfortable, however many others must like them otherwise LH wouldn’t include them.

Then we come to the food and drinks.

It certainly wouldn’t be a German Lounge without some on tap beer so here we are.

Apart from all the alcohol on the other side was more food options.

To start, we had some cheese and cold cuts.

Then there were a variety of dressings and condiments.

And then at the end of the row were hot options.

As expected, there are also pretzels as well as other breads

Food wise, there was a pretty decent spread and covered food options for everyone. There’s food for people trying to eat healthy, eat light, or eat the whole farm.

Walking around to the back side of the lounge was more of that high top seating and table seating with booths.

If you felt like watching the news, there were couches set up for that purpose as well.

There were a lot of couch seats at the back of the lounge which is where I set up camp for the 45 minutes I had in this lounge.

Each of these had a Europe-style power port to share. As always, have a converter with you (good travel habits anyways).

Apart from the fact that it was 645am at this moment, there were pretty good views of the tarmac and runway from this lounge as well.

There was also a bar that seemed to be serving some other specialty drinks.

More secluded couch-style seats were available in another section of the lounge.

There was a separated section for Lufthansa First Class and I wonder if they have these tables because they do a-la-carte dining at this lounge as well for First class?

There was also showers and a spa section for those who would’ve liked to use these facilities.

If your stay was going to be particularly long, there were luggage storage slots for that as well.

As far as lounges go, It’s pretty standard. The Senator Lounge was clean for sure, but was otherwise very simple, which isn’t always a bad thing. The lounge is by no means glamorous, but it is quieter given the stricter entry requirements and serves all the main checkpoints.
