The Le Meridien hotel is a little outside the city but still a 20-minute drive from the airport. There is no free shuttle service to take you to and from the airport but the hotel has “limos” which can take you to and from for USD $30 which I wasn’t too happy about.
The hotel had a beautiful area out front, as you approached it, and I woul’ve walked around more, but its Thailand in the middle of the day during monsoon season, it was incredibly hot and humid.
So I had actually arrived at night and these daytime pictures are all of when I was leaving, everything still works out. When you arrive at the hotel, porters are waiting to take your bags inside for you while you get checked in. Outside was hot and humid as I mentioned, but the second you walk through those doors is the lovely dry and AC weather.
The check-in counters are direct to the right and the people working it during the night when we checked in, and the morning of check out was incredibly kind and helpful. It was refreshing to see at the least.
And to the left was a nice relaxation area with a lot of lounging couches.
A little bit beyond that was an outdoor sitting area which I definitely wouldn’t use during the day.
Now being in Southeast Asia, this hotel shares a common feature among the rest, the hotel is not entirely indoors. Once you are done with check-in and head towards the back, you will see doors leading to the open.
In the back part of this room there is a coffee shop and a snack foods kind of place.
And then more seating to the left.
And now we are outdoors again, here’s looking back at the door we just came from and you can even see the main entrance to the hotel through the doors.
There were many ways you could end up going depending on where your room was.
There was more outdoor seating in the central part here. Again, not where you’d want to be during the day time.
It definitely was really pretty though.

And now here is the room. The second you step outside the room, you are fully outdoors, but while you are inside the room, there is AC and it is comfortable.
The room was actually really nice and for what we paid for a standard double twin room $88 was a great deal.
The bed was nice and comfortable.
There was a flat screen TV.
And we found several bottles of water throughout the room which would be super helpful considering that the humid weather called for lots of water.
The desk was also had everything including conveniently placed usb ports, international standard power ports, a telephone, writing kit, etc.
There was also a nice lounging sofa and table next to the window.
And outside of the window, we got this view of the golf course and that certain cloud/sky texture/color that definitely says the weather is very humid.
Now let’s check out the bathroom which was quite nice.
There was a bathtub.
There was also some more water inside the bathroom with glasses.
And here are the shower amenities provided.
They even had toothbrush + toothpaste and I definitely took this for some of my travels.
That’s pretty much the whole room and major parts of the hotel.
Overall, this was a very nice property to spend a night at and only in Thailand will you get something like this for a staggering $88/ night for the both of us. The room had everything you needed, it was well ventilated and AC was great, which is important especially for the outside weather, and another thing is that this is the closest Marriott hotel to Bangkok airport. It was still a 20-minute drive in no traffic at all. If I am in Bangkok and I don’t need to be in another Marriott hotel more in the city, I would gladly stay here again!
