SFO has 4 United clubs that you can access and this club lounge is one of 3 clubs in terminal 3, which is home to United Airlines at SFO. Terminal 3 spans across gate 60s, 70s, and 80s and this is the club lounge by the late 60s and gate 69 in particular. Especially when coming from security checkpoint it is quite hard to miss.
So I used one of my single visit passes to access this lounge since I was traveling domestically. The crew also scanned my boarding pass and I was inside within seconds. Upon entering you you will see the departure boards to your right.
Oh, and they also had lifesavers, which I think I may have consumed nearly 10-20 across all 4 club lounges.
The first thing that you see is this big room with United’s updated club lounge design.
To the left you have a row of high top seating with power ports and USB ports.
Each seat had a table and two usb ports with one normal US 3 prong port per person.
The initial room area had 3 rows of these seats and it was never really full in this part of the lounge.
Behind the seating there was a small partition and separated from the main room where 3 more of these high top seats.
The bathrooms were in this area as well and they were pretty clean.
Next too the main seating area above, there were tables set up and lots of them.
By the dining and main seating area, there was a printer as well as two closed-door business centers. One of them was being used while I was there.
There was also a bar where you could get drinks as well as cold water.
Now right on the other side of the bar, there was another room with more seats. This room and the previous room are the extents of this lounge. It’s quite small overall. But this is ok considering it’s further away from the main part of terminal 3.
These seats also had the same power features and side table, except you, also had decent tarmac views.
Now let’s go the food selection. This is an all too familiar sight for club lounges but let’s check it out regardless.
Firstly we have the usual cucumbers, bell peppers, and celery. And then, of course, the cheese cubes of sadness as I call them.
Then you had some more veggies like carrots, garbanzo beans, spinach, etc.
The potatoes were decent enough.
Then there was bread and butter at the end.
The soup of the day was a creamy tomato soup which is exactly what I had a couple years ago. It was tasty for sure, but it was too rich as well.
Then you had snack foods you could consume.
And then some fruits.
Next is our beverages available.
This is what I had while I was relaxing in this club. I had other veggies as well but felt too lazy to take photos beyond the first picture.
And I took one last shot of the bar before heading off to the next lounge.
Overall, the lounge was….nothing great but nothing bad. Having visited many different club lounges already, this one was no different. The food is alright, the wifi was fast, there’s a decent spread of seats, and more. Otherwise, If I had a couple hours to kill in another UA club lounge, this wouldn’t be the lounge to do it.
