After 12 hours in Singapore spent in the Silver Kris lounges in terminal 2 and terminal 3, and the Thai Royal Silk Lounge in terminal 1, it was time for my flight to Bangkok.
It’s definitely good to be flying the A350 and just look how stunning the aircraft looks. The Thai livery goes great on this already beautiful aircraft.
Anyways, boarding began with Royal Silk Business Class passengers and Star Alliance gold members.

After boarding through the forward door, I turned right into the business class cabin. I love the purple theme Thai has on their A350 business class seats, it looks great!
Now to the specifics, Thai has a staggered business class configuration on their A350s. On the right and left sides, there are seats where the seat is more closer to the aisle, and seats where the console is between the seat and the aisle. Below is the second one and the seat I chose: seat 15K. This is a true window seat and a lot more private than the other seats.
The seat itself was quite wide, however the seat cushion was a little hard. The same goes for the back cushion however the headrest was perfectly fine. I never liked the idea of shoulder seat belts as it seriously reduced your mobility and especially for someone like me who likes taking videos, it is fairly restrictive.
There was also an ottoman in front where you could rest your feet, though I used that space for my backpack. There was plenty of legroom regardless.
As you sit, immediately to the left by your side you will see two USB ports to charge your devices.
Also below the seat to the left about knee level is a charging port and a port to enter headphones or earphone devices.
And I did not photo this, but on the back of the seat in front of you, the tray table comes out and can be released with the release of a lever.
Immediately upon settling, the purser greeted me kindly and offered me a warm scented towel.
It had started raining quite heavily during my walk from the Thai lounge to my flight, but as such is the case with monsoon season in Southeast Asia.
A few minutes later, the crew came around with a pre-departure beverage choice of sweet grape tea, orange juice, and purple lime tea. I went for the purple lime tea and it is quite possibly the best pre-departure beverage I’ve ever had.
There was noise canceling headphones available at every seat, though as is the case with most premium cabin noise-canceling headphones that aren’t bose, they were pretty bad.
The menu and beverage menu were already in our seat pocket for us at the start of the flight.
And then the beverage menu…..
A short while after, we began our taxi to our takeoff runway.
And we had a relatively quick rollout from Singapore.

Also here are the seat controls. They were fairly intuitive on the looks of the buttons.

Finally, lunch was served. Everything was served on one tray which was perfectly fine for this 2 hour flight.
The starter consisted of salmon and that was phenomenal. It was very tasty and very fresh.
The main course consisted of rice, chicken, and steamed veggies. The rice was a little overcooked and kind of dry, but it still tasted good. The chicken was quite nice and had the right texture and amount of spice and flavor. The veggies were also steamed nicely. Overall this was quite a nice main course.
Then there was a fruit plate and that was probably the most disappointing aspect of the whole meal. The fruits tasted like they were opened and cut days ago.
The dessert was great! The praline mousse was tasty and rich, but a little too sweet. The coconut milk jelly was awesome! The sweetness from the coconut was perfectly balanced from the light sourness of the pumpkin.
All in all, lunch was really good. The appetizer to the main course to the desserts, Thai did a great job across the board here.
After lunch there was another round of beverages and I asked for hot water and they gave rice crackers with it.
The rest of the flight was all about the views.
We were also offered another hot towel.
I also took some green tea and Thai has lots of teas so if you like water based teas, take advantage of that.
Each business class passenger was also given a free 10MB wifi voucher. It was basically worthless because the wifi was fairly slow and the moment I connected, all 10 MB was used in fetching notifications.
The rest of the flight was just about views.
Monsoon season creates for some seriously dynamic views.
Descent finally began into BKK
We had a smooth touchdown on time into Bangkok.
We taxiied by A Philippine Airlines A330-300
And finally we parked.
Overall, I had a really good flight. The crew was great, efficient, the food was great, the service was great, the seat was mostly great, and all other aspects were as expected. I would absolutely fly them again and glad to have 3 more flights with them. Stay tuned for the rest of the trip. Cheers!
